Those LED's, do they protrude a bit? How did you weld them in without destroying the LED itself? I'm guessing that once they're welded in, they're not replaceable?

The LED's do protrude a small amount as they are domed, I welded the nut that the LED sits in, into the tube, it did not damage the LED. You just need to be mindful of the wires so you don't melt them. They are replaceable, albeit with a little work, however the average life expectancy is 45,000 hours.

the saddest thing is that as a former insurance person... I can tell you that it is likely someone torched their own car in order to get out of their car payments....... how sad but that is a wonderful job of giving that jeep a new lease on life... all i can say is WOW

Excellent work Gunkel. Buy that thing on Copart? (noticed the watermark on a picture of your red Jeep before you rebuilt it).

Truely amazing work gunkel! Can't wait to see the finished product.

I wanna say you should get a built not bought sticker, but that would take away from the pure beauty of it!

Unfortunately no lift yet, however I have spent the last two nights working on the seat mounts, and the roll bar. Maybe I will get lucky and the lift will come tomorrow... Thanks again everyone for the comments, and that is a yes on Copart for the red jeep, although this one was from Iaai.

That is amazing restoration work. I would love to find a burnt out newer Jeep to restore.
