Like many others, stumbled into your thread and read it in one sitting. This thing is awesome! Clean installs with attention to detail are my thing and I can definitely give you my seal of approval, love the LED's.

Sean, unfortunately progress has stalled. It's that time of year when we are super busy at work (auto-show season), then I am working on the house almost every night getting it ready for the holidays (wife want's ALL of the Christmas stuff done by Thanksgiving), and the kids need help almost every night with homework etc. I have been saving my rubles though so when the time comes I will have some $$$ to spend on my axles. How are your tons coming along?
Thanks Mark as well ![]() |

Very slowly.
![]() I think I'm a little burned out on working on the Jeep right now. Nothing new though, I will wake up one day and the next thing you know it's all cut up again and moving right along. I'm stalled on what to do with the suspension when the axles go in. Sometimes it would be nice to just drop it off at a shop and say "call me when it's done". I'm sure after the show season and holidays are over yours will have a 44 in the front pretty quick... you have to be ready for EJS! ![]()

Wow, just found this thread, read it front to back. Fantastic work, it's getting cold up here now but you've inspired me to keep working on my YJ anyway! ( YJ is too tall for the garage
) The paint is gorgeous, absolutely a jaw dropping transformation! I hope you can get some time to work on it soon, looking forward to updates! ![]() |

hey hey, I'm your twin!
I cannot believe I didn't find this post earlier. I was looking for Rescue Green TJs to compare colors with, since I need to paint up some fender flares. I purchased Gordy's Jeep this summer, the one with 9k miles, etc. Its pretty well built, with Super 44s front/rear, ARB front, Detroit rear, Atlas 4.3, AEV highline kit, EDGE programmer, RS9000s, custom rear 4link, ram assist, all around armor, etc, etc.. Some pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() Suspension in action: Jakob mike leo at reiter :: MOV02252.flv video by JKkat1 - Photobucket Unfortunately, the NW hasn't been too friendly with the Flares. Doesn't help that I wheel with Samurai's.... thus, I need to get some tube fenders. Are you running 3" tube flares there? Unfortunately, I worry after seeing your paint process, that its not a simple matter to match what I already have. Subscribing to thread! ![]() |

Just finally finished this thread almost a day later and a lot of sitting down and re-opening the page from minimize. Very nice Jeep I can't say enough how much I love LJ's. They are the perfect wheelin' machine with a 5" lift and tube fenders or the new highline's 40's are not out of the question anymore and add chromoly shafts to your JK's 44's and 5.13's and call it another day at the office.

japerry, nice rubicon!! and nice video!! My tubes are 3", and I agree, the rescue green paint is tricky to say the least to match!

On another note, the axle builds are once again pushed back, due to the fact of our new purchase. Bank repo, 2006 Four Winds Hurricane, 6500 miles 34' with a superslide and tons of storage!!

I picked it up a few weeks ago and have again been spending many late nights up at the shop making changes and additions. First off, I removed the 26" dinosaur tv and installed a 32" LCD. Fabbed up a few brackets, widdled up a little plywood, added a little open cell weatherstripping, next thing you know, fits like a glove!

Next up I swapped out the old A&E 18' vinyl awning for a 20' Carefree acrylic with alumigard awning, and added a awning lock. Added an additional duplex outlet next to the LH awning arm, one of the outlets I wired into a dimmer switch that I added into the entrance way. Added a power receptacle to the porch light for the built in awning tube light as well.

Added the King dome satellite dish for the tv, added a Sirius antenna and Jensen marine DLP2500 Sirius reciever. Added a set of JBL marine outdoor speakers to the side of the motorhome, and added a A/B/C speaker switch.
