BETTER than new!
So do you own a paint shop? I know somebody down here in Brawley that could use some paint work on his red LJ (see my pics)

Went to the junk yard again, this time I robbed a 05' tj that had been in a bad wreck, on the plus side, the heater box, wiper assembly, and a bunch of other small parts were all good. Brought them back to the shop, cleaned them up and installed them.

Amazing work, much better than new!

I love that color too. The paint job looks flawless, and the interior compliments in nicely. It's very impressive. You should be proud.

Sean, unfortunately I do not own a body shop, however fortunately I am a manager at a prototype shop that has a body shop onsite, and I am allowed to use the facility after hours and on the weekends. Next came the fenders, same process again, disassembly, sanding, painting, and reassembly..

Next the jeep sat for awhile, I needed to find a donor vehicle for a dash, harness, etc. I scoured craigslist, ebay, the local papers, many calls to the junk yards, all to no avail. Then one day a couple of weeks ago my friends that own the junk called and told me about a wreck that they just got in, man was I lucky! Light roll so the dash, airbags, harness, seats, etc. were all intact! So, brought it back to the shop, stripped everything that I needed, and the next thing you know I am up and running!

Awesome work, great looking LJ. Could you please also give us some details on what lift kit you're using and what size tires you're running now? IMO the stance looks just right.

I got the jeep smogged and plated last week, and I have been working on welding up a PSC full cage kit with some custom spider and web gussets, hopefully tomorrow I will get the cage painted and installed. I removed the stock roll bar and have been driving around (just locally), with the top/doos/roll bar off, I feel like I should be cast in the remake of MASH! Anyway, I ordered a RE 5.5 long arm kit, shocks, SYE, Tom Woods ds and goodyear 37" mtr's yesterday, and tomorrow I am picking up a set of beard seats that I found on craigslist cheap. I will keep the pictures coming throughout the rest of the build...

Damn I know photos can be deceiving, but it kind of looked like you had a 2" lift on it already. LoL.

I positively cannot wait to see pics with the LA and 37's, its possibly my my favorite LJ already, just cuz I love the green with the green U-pol, even on stock suspension and 31's. I have zero doubt in my mind that this is gonna be a positively gorgeous Jeep.

Thanks DM, Red, I missed your post. Long term plans are the following:

Dana 44 in front, chromoly, 5.13's and either arb's or eaton's front and back.
PSC crusher corners with the 3" flare. PSC ricochet's, and trail stinger.
Custom rear stinger/tire carrier.
Tube fenders up front (haven't decided on what brand)
LED's throughout
Winch/synthetic line

Awesome build! I love that color. I already decided that down the road if I ever got a JK I'd get a Rescue Green one. That is, if I didn't repaint it Impact Orange.

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

I had originally planed on keeping it orange (I liked the uniqueness of the orange) however I kept seeing the new green jk's running around town, needless to say the green "grew" on me...

On a side note, and just for reference, a few pictures of my last build.. It started as a theft recovery (stole the front end sheet metal), ended up with a RE long arm kit, 33 mtr's etc...
