'05 TJ Overheating...

Randomly overheating. I'll drive for 30 minutes no problem then I will drive to the store three minute ride and temp will shoot up to 260. I cranked up the heater and oddly the air coming out was not warm. I had been leaking coolant a few days ago. I used a product called liquid aluminum I found at Autozone. Leaking stopped but now I'm overheating at random times.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also there is a bubbling sound coming from the overflow tank.

Thanks,

Frank

The bubbling is from the radiator cap not holding the correct pressure. Have you checked the coolant level?

Buy a new radiator cap with the correct pressure rating. Next, you probably need to burp the system. Many times air pockets are in the cooling system. Squeeze the top radiator hose, while the cap is off. You will probably find air. Keep doing this until all the air is gone. This should solve your problem.
