Ok so today I solved the rear output clearance issue.
Started by cutting out a slot in the crossmember. ![]() Then took plate and welded new metal inset at the new height. Then burned in walls to close it up and seal things tight. With the new shape cut into it, there's an extra 5/8" clearance and everything has lots of room now. ![]() Also I put the rear axle and suspension back in (sort of, still needs a few nuts tightened here and there). Baby steps but progress is progress.

Working on the front suspension the last few days. Everything is welded in except the lower coilover mounts. I want to rework the lower CO mount shape a little but not much left to do suspension wise.
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not super excited about how the track bar turned out. It'll work for now at least but the upper heim joint binds in the bracket just before full droop. I'm not sure I want that much droop though and at least everything clears very well at full compression. ![]() I also got started on the hydro mount. Here's the hoop for the ram mount (thanks again Luke) and I made my brackets for service access for the dana 60. The hoop is a little long and tall but that will all get trimmed down to size soon enough. The plan is to run as close as possible to the d60 for better clearance (very similar to JT Taylor's Tube Shark buggy). Problem is that increases profanity if I need to get into the differential. So I'm going make the bar in front of the diff be removable via these pie plates and 4 grade 8 bolts (don't mind the center hole btw). The second pic shows "about" where I'll cut the plates into the main hoop. ![]() ![]() |

On all fours. ;D
![]() ![]() ![]() The stak TJ shifters were challenging. The bracket is a single sheer type deal so the they tended to torque and twist while shifting. ![]() The goofy bracket you can see above on the right is this thing below. I combined a leftover rear door lock bracket and a UCA jamnut into this. Which stopped the torque twisting. ![]() I had figured I wouldnt be able to run the console but it actually dropped right into place. After that I just had to put the seats back in. ![]() The front hydro continues. The cooler mounted in the grill. ![]() Still dinking around with how I want to the mount the ram. ![]() The perfect color to release my Jeep's inner barbie. ![]() |

YUMMY WATERMELON. They should make scratch and sniff paint. SO when a tree scrapes your rig it smells tastey. Haha. Awesome Build by the way.

Hell, it would be an even cooler idea to find some of that weed. But on the topic of the Jeep, this thing is a beast. Props to you for all the work you put in.

Looking really good, man. Everything seems to be falling into place and going smoothly. I like the stance you have right now. Are the shocks charged or not?

Thanks everyone.
They are charged. The rear might need to come up just a tick but it's really close, and luckily, I still have plenty of adjustment in the COs to do it. |
