Starting to work on the Front 14" coilover kit from Polyperformance via Northridge.

Ultimately I'll mount the reservoirs on the cross member.

I'm thinking the bumpstops might be a tad short. Still thinking about airbumps and who's to go with.

Front end will be full hydro steer.

All of the old steering system is officially out and about 10 pounds of Elbe mud was rescued

I suppose I could have put the orbital valve anywhere but it tucked so nicely into the stock place that I went with it.

so that's about where I'm at now. I'm waiting on the stak t-case (which was supposed to ship last week). Once that shows up and I get that in. I can get to finishing up the welding on the front axle brackets and ram mount. After that it's pretty close to being done.

As it sits in the garage right now:

Wheelbase 104"

Height: as measured at top of the winshield frame: 77"

Width(outside tire edge to outside tire edge): 78.5" front 77.5" rear

Belly: 24" at frame rail and 21" at lowest point (which is the center portion of the clayton t-case skid)

I may change the wheelbase depending on how the track bar works out. The front axle is going to be linked with Clayton's radius longarms and a custom track bar. For now though, I'm pretty excited about how it's looking.

More than I'd care to admit. Let's just say a lot.

are you going to be selling your 44 during this build.
{off topic}
Most of the left over parts went on my brother-in-law's 94 cherokee. We (my jeep club and I did his rig in one day on July12th). Build started at 8am Saturday and was done 10 hours later. Many thanks to the awesome people at Auburn Car Repair & Offroad and the members of PNWJeep.

Final build stats for his 1 Day XJ:

*NP231 transfer case w/ Tom Woods SYE and tera 2low
*Front 97' non-disco HP D30: 5 on 5.5 Warn premium hub conversion, 30 spline USA Alloy inner shafts, CTM's, 4.88's, ARB
*Rear D44, USA Alloy 30 spline shafts, Teraflex disc brake conversion, 4.88's, ARB
*ARB mini compressor and switches
*Currie HD steering system
*Currie Adjustable front trackbar
*RE 5.5" lift with RE fixed Superflex2 LCA's and adjustable Superflex2 UCA's
*35x12.50 MT/R's on 15x8's with Staun beadlocks

Rig turned out awesome I think. My brother in law is seriously stoked about his newly refreshed 1994 XJ. {/offtopic}

I have two questions for you though:
1) You're staying with the I-6? Any plans for a V-8 or stroker later?
2) What's the reasoning behind the wider front axle?
1. Going to stick with my i6 for now, it's only got 40-something thousand on the odometer. I think it will turn the Iroks just fine. 39" Bias ply iroks arent much heavier than many 35" radials. Couple that with the stak 3 speed and 5.38s in the axles; I should have enough torque to get by. I can always do an engine swap later on if need be.

2)turning radius and tire clearance for steering.
