Going to pick her up this weekend it sounds like. Current short list of mods are fitting upper half doors on the aluminum ones, putting factory style soft top back on it for when the aluminum bikini isn't there, some sort of cutting brakes, or line lock or something..., cow bell , and basic steering wheel due to the full hydro. Whatever I get done and whenever it happens I will post up some pics.

4th kid's due in October. I want to build something that'll seat 6. I want to make something a little more unusual this time. I'm totally stoked about it.

See ya Saturday in Cheyenne. Dont be late. If I get there first, I'll just do front digs in the parking lot til you show up or the rig gets impounded.

Now that wouldn't be very nice... I will be there.

Ok. So I saw a picture almost 2 years ago that began the inspiration for my build...This morning I just realized it was your Jeep! Outrageous. The Jeepnut license plate gave it away.

This is small potato stuff, but here are some of the things that I have been doing to the cracked cow:

Welded on an extra bolt hole to the primary cross member/skid plate:

Mounted the Hi-Lift onto the rear of the rollbar, it's fully removable for when the cage gets replaced:

Temporarily built some fixed bump stops that slide up into the air bump cans so I don't have to modify anything to put the air bumps back in down the road:

Cut a *small* hole in the floor to get the STAK 3-speed linkage all working like butter:

Here she is sitting next to my old rig, sold red to the neighbor, he swears he will take care of her..

Spent some major time cleaning up the entire rig, cannot wait to get her out on the trails!

Did some more work on it over the past week. The rear crossmember is now able to be un-bolted for removal if needed. It has 2"x2"x1/4" angle iron both before and after the crossmember and it is burned solidly into the clayton flat skid. Then to top it off grade8 bolts are run through the whole mess to lock it all together. Also added a fresh coat of watermelon pink paint to the skid.

Finally patched the floorboard with some 12 gauge sheetmetal, turned out pretty good, once the floor mat is in place it almost looks factory.

Now I can get the tire carrier swung open without any tools:

Took it out to see how the bump stops are working, seem to be up to the task:

And here is the whole mess loaded up on trailer and hooked to tow rig:

Wife is excited that the Cherokee now fits in the garage again.

Dan, ya, I know you'll take care of my old rig. I've poured a lot of blood/sweat/tears into good old red. It's nice to know that it went to a good home.

Plus Dan knows that I know where he lives....

Can't wait to see it on the trails, taking the white one out Sat or Sun, not sure which day yet...

Yes you have spent a lot of time in the garage making the red Jeep what it is today. I'm glad I know where you live too so I can beg for help if I need it!

Hopefully when things slow down here after this month, I'll be ready to go!

Glad to be part of the Jeep fraternity now, I'm reading and learning a lot on here!
