When you go over the railroad tracks and hear a bunch of metal clanging and discover several of your Craftsman wrenches you had been missing are now out on the road.

When you know the UPS guy by his first name.
When you walk into the autoparts store and the guy behind the counter automatically asks which torx bit you broke this time.
It doesn't matter if it runs or not your still happy just sitting in it.

When you write your mileage on the windshield with a dry erase marker, because your fuel gauge doesn't work and your doing simple math formulas on the way to work, not sure if your gonna make it...

Couldn't agree more! My UPS guys first name is Peter. He has red hair, so of course I call him "Red Peter". He just thinks it's funny that I gave him a pet name. He always wants to see how my project is going and after seeing it, he wants a '7 too.

And yes, I can be happy just sitting on the frame and thinking: One day....

True. I spent $800 for my 77 CJ7 in 1993 and have put over $23,000 into it.

No matter what parts you buy for it, no matter what you paid for the parts, they ALL require some kind of "customization" to make em fit.

When the parts delivery guy has the code to your garage door.

You log onto Ebay, type in Jeep Cj and go through 60 or so pages
of parts and think about all the things your Jeep needs.

When you laugh at your buddie driving in front of you with his turn signal on, only to look down and see yours in on too.

When u have to schedule time with your girlfriend around the nice weather so you can work outside on your CJ

When u drive past car washes and think how much fun it would be to go throught there topless because your dash seats and inside of your windshield are muddy
