you are in an accident and the jeeps fine but the guy that hit you has tire marks across the hood of his torn crown vick

My brother in GA (79 CJ 5) had a guy pull out in front of him, if his brakes had worked it would have been ok,
But he hit the guy in the side of his car (stright t-bone) not hard but the man's car kept going and peeled it open all down the side. We couldnt find evan a scatch on my brothers bumper.

And he said "Thats why I drive a CJ"

And Now So Do I. HAHAHA Love this JEEP

She likes the jeep. Shes just tired of me talking about it.OH My bad she's just tired of me talking.

YOu know you DROVE a CJ When

You drive by the lot that you traded it too and think...man I miss her...

I traded my 2000 SS Camaro and my 1982 CJ7 for a 2004 Rubicon...

I love the ride of the TJ and the fact that it has Dana 44's and lockers, but I miss the CJ.

Wife told me I couldn't have both...poo

Here's a link to my old CJ at the Dealer.

Why didn't you trade the Camaro and the Wife for the TJ and keep the CJ? Probably doesn't cause you as much trouble as the wife

you know when you drive a CJ when all of your home's bathrooms, the shop, the living room, and under your bed has parts catalogs stratigically placed within hands reach

You know you're driving a CJ when you've gone on a long road trip, and instead of stopping just used the holes in the floor to take that pee break while driving down the highway because you don't want to waste the time stopping or risk the Jeep not starting when you finish.

I'll modify mine a bit now:

You know you are going to be driving a CJ when:
...you sell your running 1984 GMC Jimmy on 35's as starter cash for a CJ
and
...you sell your perfect 2006 with 35k miles 4 door Pre-Runner extended cab Toyota Tacoma w/offroad package, AC and power everything and 6 cd disc stereo so that you can buy a CJ-7 because the wife will only allow you to own 1 vehicle

...you start every conversation with a CJ owner who is selling with the question, "How much rust does it have, where, and is it running?"

...you're willing to wait a couple months without a vehicle (go, go carpooling or a 15 mile bike ride to work) so that you can find the perfect CJ-7

...you can't stop thinking about the CJ-7 that you used to own, and wonder why you ever thought it was a good idea to sell it in the first place

Another one from my past

...you've mastered how to down shift, drive around in neutral or with clutch pushed in until you are barely moving, and then turn off the ignition while in first without getting it jumpstarted to stop the Jeep because your brakes are completely out and you can't afford to fix them due to the last repair you just made.

Now that my CJ5 is officially 35 years old, the glorious state of NC does not require an inspection for my Jeep. Now I can go and get NC tags for my CJ5 and retire the SC tags

(SC does not require car inspections, NC does require them BUT if its 35 years or older, it does not require an inspection)

Bottomline: my CJ wouldn't pass an inspection... no CAT.

Present: 96 XJ ~Black~ , 75 CJ-5 ~Blue~
Past: 95 YJ ~Bright Mango~ , 96 XJ ~White~, 72 CJ-5 ~Baby Blue~

When you cant take your girl out because you are on your last $100 cash and you are going wheeling tomarrow.

When you will travel 200miles in the winter, to freeze your a$$ off, get stuck and break parts, and while coming home you cant stop smiling (because your face is frozen)

You laugh at the poor idiots who think that their new 4door JK with every possible stick-on and shiny aftermarket piece of bling and 20inch chrome wheels can follow your scratched up CJ with ATs.

When you are asked what year it is, you say "which part?"

True story

You go to your auto insurance office to add your CJ to your policy, the girl asks you what type of vehicle it is, you tell her a 1980 Jeep CJ5, she punches it into the computer and asks you who makes it, you tell her "Jeep or AMC" and she says it's not in the system.

A good friend comes to bail you out of jail.
A great friend is sitting next to you saying, "THAT WAS AWESOME!"
