...When driving anything else but the CJ feels like driving a stress ball. Soft and squishy.

...you start it up, pull out of the parking garage and all of a sudden (before you turn onto the main road)...your headlights blink. You stop. You get nervous/scared. What was that? Then they blink again...and one taillight goes out. You freak cause you just had a new wiring harness installed..and you don 't know what's happening....is it gonna start stalling next ?.....so not knowing what else to do, you YELL at it out loud "Don't. You. DARE!!!!"

...ended up just being a burned out tailight. But i almost had a nervous breakdown for a second there. : )

You know you drive a CJ when you'd rather rebuild it than get another. Nevermind you'll spend three times as much!

It's a love hate relationship; I love to hate it!

I'd rather be lost on the trails than found at home!

When attempting body work isn't terrifying, but an exciting learning experience.

Cheers!

....when you are driving around with your 6 years old in your non-jeep car and point out a TJ jeep to him at the traffic lights and he says, "Oh, it's a real life running Jeep!" D'oh!

You are 18 and you have spent the entire summer removing paint and prepping your rig for a $2K paint job.. You finally get it back, install everything, and on the maiden voyage you have a serious engine fire.. This happened 20 years ago to me and I still have the same CJ although it does now have an on board extinguisher!

When an oil burner repair tech sees your Jeep and you spend the next hour discussing your '86 with a 360 and his '80 with a 360. I was in a good mood the rest of the day after that

When that feeling of satisfaction takes over your smile during the first ride in well over 10 years. Glad I didn't let her go. And I never smile. Lol

When you're not actually driving it but waiting on parts. Both the FedEx and UPS guys bring treats for the dogs and are actually consultants on some of your restoration ideas.

It's going to be 75 today and all week long and all you have is a new Tee shirt. You can get one too if you buy the other half of their inventory.

I'd rather be lost on the trails than found at home!
