When someone follows you through a neighborhood that when you stop says that he also owns a 5 and has to know what you got the seats out of because he is having trouble finding seats that bolt up. When you go muddin and the front passenger break stops spitting fluid and works again. Or when the Jeep just seams to run better offroad then onroad.

Damn....
I thought I got lucky by finding a woman who doesn't complain about my time at the garage, works garage time into our schedule and is willing to help me out there.....

Cheers!!

After reading all of this, I almost dont feel like I own a CJ. Mine runs great, all the gauges work, the brakes work (yes, even the emergency brake), all the lights & turn signals work, the heater works, the A/C works... in fact, the only thing NOT working right now is the radio. LOL.

Unfortunately she only has a brother.....sorry.....lol. And you are lucky 2Xtreme...most would never think about twisting a wrench or getting grease under their nails. I hit the lottery jackpot with mine....we celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary in august. It just so happens she loves old iron as much as me and has already started looking into buying an under hood welder for the 7 as well as on board air. I also have to say beyond the universal rust holes in the floor pans on my jeep and the few body creases that were obtained by the PO everything on it works well Brakes, steering, lights etc etc. You might own/drive a CJ if add dual batteries just so you can go to the drive in movies without the worry of needing a jump start.

Hah... You don't ever say things like that when owning a CJ... Now you'll soon be plagued by problems!

I feel bad for you. Not knowing the true joys of owning a CJ.
Being the nice guy that I am, I'd be willing to trade you for your own benefit. My Heep covers just about everything mentioned in this thread.

You think that the guy that invented torx bolts should be shot, and the guy that decided to put torx bolts in Jeeps should drown in a giant tank full of PB Blaster!
