NEW to the Forum, so I have been catchin' up on these and realizing it's not just me!
OK, so You know you drive/own a CJ when a fell CJer will pay postage and send you parts without expecting anything in return; simply because he or she knows what it feels like to get one back on the road! Thanks to my new buddy Sam (OrangeCJ7)!!!
I just did this for a buddy of mine who has a cj7. Sold him my transmission knowing full well that it would take me longer to get mine on the road with out it. That was all he needed to get his back up and running so he could do the mud runs. Sad part is it didn't fit his like we thought it would but he still kept it so he could have a spare.
When you put your doors on to drive a couple hours to your camp site and when you ask your son if he wants the window up, he looks at the door and then back at you and says "how do I do that dad?" Cut me up! We don't do doors much.
When you're messing around in the dunes at the lake in the CJ with your buddy riding with you and the F150 behind you and you see a trail and turn sharp with no problem yet they have to back up to follow.
When the trucks are afraid of a lil water and you say screw it and drive through it praying the carb doesn't get too wet and stall you out.
When both illicit dirty looks from the trucks driver...
Oh and saw a meme about the overcompensation of jacked up trucks on Friday, laughed and thought of this.
when it starts raining and you hit the wiper switch and the wipers don't work but you reach under the dash and know by feel which wire is not on the switch and where it should be. And you fix it while still driving down the road. happened to me today. A couple of wires on the wiper switch are loose and fall off all the time whenever I have to reach up under the dash to fix something else.
