This!

I know it wasn't a CJ at the time, but I had a YJ that I did a 350 swap in...and I built a custom dash with all autometer gauges and everything...well, one day, I found out the hard way that 1/8 tank was really empty! I'm cruising about 70 or 75 down the highway, and it starts surging...uh oh...I make it over to the right lane, hit the next exit. It's spitting and sputtering barely hanging on to life going around the exit ramp to the overpass, then it dies while I'm trying to merge into traffic to get across the street to the shoulder, about 200 yards from a gas station...still rolling...stiiilllll rolling...makes it to the entrance to the gas station...stiiillll creeeeeeping...never touched the brake once, I roll to a stop right next to the gas pump! MAN...someone was looking out for me that day! I get out, the guy at the next pump says "WOW! your jeep sure runs quiet!" I just laugh as I fill the tank. I jump back in and fire it up and boy, did he have a suprised look on his face...I was just laughing as I pulled away.

I did this exact same thing in an XJ in highschool! My sister was with me and will never let me live that one down. I keep saying, technically I made it to the station, so your argument is null and void." but it doesn't stop her. Now she owns that ol XJ

I'm looking for a Scout II Dana 300. Drop me a line if you have any leads. Thanks

When you drive it to a stop sign and fight to keep it alive while stopped. And you can keep it alive and the PO couldn't.

That's the reason why I am upgrading to dual tanks. I think 20gal and a jerry can should be plenty of gas.

you know you drive a cj when you think it's cool to do an upgrade you've been masterminding for months that non CJ-ers roll their eyes at just before you actually explain why you are doing it...."So I'm going to go from a manual brake set up to hydroboost....". Other personn says "Oh... "and walks away as you show them a firewall bracket designed for a mustang 1999 or later HB set up and start to glow...... Where's the love!

when your 12 year old daughter takes harder lines than some JK drivers...

http://www.jk-forum.com/jk-trails-ta...s-10356/page3/

Scroll down ... my old CJ8 and my daughter's mention - she's 17 now, a forum member, ZJ owner and fixer upper! (Her fave quote is "Chrome don't get ya home")

You know you are a CJ owner when you are proud to get out to lock your hubs in, citing potentially faulty vacuum hoses as stupid!
