YJ Roll Cage in a CJ7

hi all. just wondering if anyone out there knows whether a YJ Roll Cage will fit in my 77 cj. I want to put in one from a 92-95 yj that extends to the rear of the body tub. I was wondering if anyone had done this, and how much extra work is involved.
i'm just looking for this style only, not a custom job like some i've seen.
any thoughts would be appreciated.

My friend has a 94 YJ rollbar in his CJ-7. Only 93, 94 and 95 will work.

A 77 will probably have the rollbar that mounts on top of the fender wells. The YJ family style rollbar will fit fine, but you will need to drill and make your own backing plates to secure it to the tub.

i have a 92 and it is the same exact rollbar as the later model YJ's.... and you can put in the old style YJ rollbars in any YJ i believe....

I put a 92 YJ roll cage in my CJ. I had to drill a few holes, but it bolted up fine.

This is correct, which will leave you with holes along the quarter panels that will need to be patched on '76-'early '79. Late '79 - '86 is a direct swap with just one hole in each of the main hoop feet not lining up. Drop it in, line it up, drill the holes, make some backing plates, bolt it down.

Mine is a 78. We replaced the sides before this, so there were no holes to deal with. The holes would need patched or pluged if it is an early one.
