ww2 jeep stolen

I apologize in advance if this isn't an appropriate place to post this. I'm trying my best to get the word out everywhere.

My jeep was stolen Sunday morning from the Wal Mart parking lot in Parker. The link below contains some pics that I submitted to 7 news. They were taken last year (except for the one with the windshield down), but the only thing that has changed is the top and windshield are down and the defroster isn't on it anymore. I have told the police already but if anyone sees it please call me at 720-289-8547 and I will relay to the police detective on my case. There were two kids late teens to early twenties that could be seen by me in the video. They had a late model Dodge or Ford 4 door silver truck.

Has "war buggy" stenciled on one side, and "od honey" stenciled on the other. Serial number on frame and engine is 12977 and serial on data plate is mb303580. Has weld repair on the support bar for the tandem tow, tp 35 is stenciled under the light switch.

So far 7 news has been running the story http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news...81/detail.html and fox 31 is trying to get the video from the police and run the story as well. If you could get me get the word out more I would appreciate it. I have been posting on lots of forums but word of mouth helps as well.

That's about as rotten as it gets. Hoping the jacka$$es just took it for a joy ride. That's one sweet little rig.

Yeah....vigilante justice

If it were mine, I would give anything to find the Jeep and the perps vehicle together....

That is really messed up. It is a beautifully restored rig. I would be fine if the culprits were dragged behind it...

This makes me sick to my stomach. Those little b******s probably wanted a go in a real jeep for a while. I wouldn't be too overly concerned, something like that is not easily missed driving through town. Someone will see it, report it, and then hopefully those kids are strung from the ceiling by their necks. And a beautiful, just beautiful restoration by the way. It will be found.

and it's a GPW too...uuuggg nice Ford version with towbar and field tools....man that sucks. Check all the nearby wooded areas and ask anyone you see in town with a Jeep or big lifted truck, where the local trails are as it may be stashed deep in the woods there. Thats where I would start.

I had 7news on yesterday morning while I was making breakfast - wasn't watching it, just listening. I heard a jeep was stolen and I just assumed it was a mall crawling TJ or something. Sad to hear it wasn't, really hope you get this thing back, someone has too much time on their hands to steal an old GPW.

Sorry it took so long to get back on here. I posted on over 12 different forums so I sorta lost track of it all. Thank you all for the kind words. I have great news. The jeep was found Saturday morning! It had some minor body damage and was soaking wet with bleach and the ignition switch was gone but otherwise it seems to have fared well and basically nothing is missing. It truly is a miracle! Thanks again!
