...stopped using the AMC 6 and started using an aluminum minivan V6.

So you would have preferred the Jeep brand to disappear in 1987 when AMC went under? You can still buy a new Jeep at a dealer, how many AMC dealers have you seen lately? Selling to Chrysler was survival, like it or not.

got rid of leaf-springs...
stopped V-8 option in CJ's...
started using plastic for "interior refinements"...
