Windshield wipers problems and YJ frame

I have a YJ windshield frame swapped on my CJ7 and I am having trouble with my wipers getting stuck. They worked fine for years.

Now there is enough play in the linkages that I can move the wipers 5" or so back and forth by had with them turned off. They work just fine until I pass a semi or the wind gusts just right on the highway. Then the drivers side wiper will get pushed too far the passenger side and the system gets jammed up. I believe that oblong groove that I found at the linkage connection is the problem.

I didn't do this swap so I'm trying to figure out what the PO did make this work.

Since I have a YJ frame, do I need YJ linkages?

The motor arm link from what I can find is 11" for a YJ and 10 1/8" for CJ's but is the longer arm different as well? I ask because I can't seem to find that one for a YJ but can for CJ's.

Had the same problem with my wipers, the drivers side wiper would jam up everything. I found it to be the wiper linkage pivot(I think thats the name of the part)
I replaced both of them working fine
