winch mounting ?

hey guys i just went and picked up my new warn m8000 winch and it didn't come with any mounting kit is there any way i can mount this thing without geting a mouthing plate? like can it be mounted on the crossmember behind the bumper on my cj-7?

I'm not sure the crossmember is up to it.
I mounted mine with inverted L shaped plates. The winch sites on the top of the plates, which wrap around the side of the frame and are bolted there.

I was just going to say fab one up or plop down about 100 bones for the Warn mount. I bought one but now that I have a welder I know that I could fab one up for less dough.
