will it work?

i was thinking about finding a yj roll cage to put in my cj7. will it work? i already have a cage in it but whoever installed it was a tard and i can roll my windows dwn and it wont let my doors close alll the way. needless to say im tired of it and i want like a 95 style cage that goes from the windshield frame to the back corners.

Yes it will work and it is a popular swap. Search YJ Roll bar. Lots of info out there.

You betcha!!!! The roll bar bolts right in. The sport bars take a little work, but not alot (fairly easy).

you know, of course, that the YJ cage bolted to the windshield is not as strong as your cage bolted to the floor. Plus who ever put your cage in most likely did not have hard doors on when they did it, ergo it was not in the way.

just food for thought...

The YJ bar is bolted to the floor exactly the same as the CJ, with the ADDITION of the sport bars. It's just as strong, maybe more!
