Will it work?

Will a 1980 cj7 hard top fit onto a 1985 cj7 with no modifications? Probably been asked but don't have the time to search for it

You could have searched that and found and answer by the time you logged on and posted that question! Yes it will, you don't know much about cj7's do you?

There is some hardware to install and you may need to adjust the rake of the windshield frame. All not difficult to do.

But seriously...

I had no time at the moment. I was driving and already logged on. Takes time to search threads for the answer. Thanks for the info though

CJ7 tubs are all the same dimensionally...

The easiest way to get the top to fit correctly, is to loosen up the windshield frame, put the hard top on and make sure its lined up with the opening correctly, and the back corners of the tub. Once its all bolted down, then tighten down the windshield frame.

There is also this from the manual...
