Will this swap work?

Will a 258 out of an 87 wrangler fit into an 85 CJ-7 with a 258 and vice-versa? The CJ has a 4-speed and the wrangler is an automatic. Will it be an easy swap or are there things I need to consider. Thanks for any help.

It will work. You'll need to swap your carb, diistributor, and wiring. Also you need to install a new pilot bushing inthe end of the crank for the transmission its mating to.
