Will the hoses on a 82 power steering pump mate up with a 89 power steering box?

I'm piecing together a power steering set up for my 1976 CJ-7 and was wondering if anyone could tell me if a 1982 power steering pump will mate up with a 1989 power steering box. I know that the hose ends were changed somewhere along the way but not sure when. I have the pump now and have a chance to buy the box from a 1989 but am not able to see it as it is in an other town.

Does your gas tank overflow at the pump?

If the price is right for the box, have a local hydraulic line company make up a pair with the correct fittings on each end.

They should both have O-ring fittings I believe.... should swap right over.
