Will a carrier from a ZJ low pinion D 30 work in my CJ D 30?

I discovered after throwing my rear driveshaft that my inner and outer pinion bearings (AMC 20) are shot. Since I have the dreaded 2.73 ratio, and I'll have to reset the gears anyway, I've decided to bite the bullet and regear both axles now, as well as switching out all of the yokes from the strap type to the U-bolt type. I have a line on a stock Dana/spicer complete 3.73+ D30 carrier with bearings, races, spider/ side gears and center pin, but the owner of them says they are for a ZJ low pinion D 30. For the price he is asking, plus shipping, it seems like a great deal. A bare carrier from Spicer is almost as much. So, as the title says, can I put this in my CJ D 30? Thanks in advance,

Jim

The carrier is the same. The pinion is different though as the zj uses a crush sleeve and the cj uses shims.

That's OK. He has a 3.73 ring gear on it now, but I was planning to gear to 4.10's, so I'd be buying new gear sets anyway. Thanks for the quick response.

Just because it's worth mentioning, the carrier from a high pinion D30 is also compatible.
