Will this ARB differential cover work?

I have an '83 CJ7 with the Dana 30 front axle and I was wanting to replace the stock differential cover with this one from ARB:

ARB Competition Differential Cover and Other Jeep Parts and Jeep Accessories by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware

The issue is that the website says it's for JK, TJ & YJ but nothing about a CJ. Will it work on my Dana 30?

I'd call them up and ask about the CJ application. Their ad states it will hit the track bar on non-lifted vehicles. Since CJ's don't have track bars, that would give me pause.

It will probably hit your tie rod if you don't have high steering.

I just put one on my 74 with a Dana 30-it's a nice product. I ground a small line in the dipstick to serve as a "fill to" line is all. This cover is actually a little lower-profile than the O.E. cover.

Thanks Montana! You don't happen to have a pics of it installed you could post do you? I emailed ARB and they said they didn't think I would have any problems.

I just went out and took a couple pictures. PM me with your email and I can send (they are on my computer).

There is ~ 1" of clearance between the bracket that holds the stud end of the steering stabilizer and the diff. cover, and ~ 3" between the diff. cover and the center link of the steering.

Overall, ARB is a first-rate company and has an excellent product. These covers are no different.
