Will 87 roll bar fit cj7?

Will the 87-91 roll bar fit my 83 cj7? I'd like to have the bars going to the wind shield. Also, I need a set of hard doors but all of the aftermarket doors that I want are only for 87 and newer, the demensions are the same I thought and I have a supertop so it should fit the aftermarket doors. I was really looking at the steel horse half doors and soft upper doors. but these are only for wranglers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It should fit no problem, but bolting it to the windshield will be a problem unless you use a wrangler windshield frame. Problem there is the defroster ducts would need to be modified,

People swap yj tubs onto cj7's all the time and use the cj roll bar so using a yj rollbar on a cj tub should be fine too.

It's a direct bolt-in - I have one from a 91 YJ in my 79 CJ.

its simply a matter of drilling and tapping for a CJ windshield frame to mount the bars. do you already have a 87-91 bar? I personally would be looking for a 92-95 "family" cage if i was going to swap rollbars. they are just as easy of a swap.

swap xj tubs onto cj7's?.......lol, i love good typos
