Who has built their own consoles?

I am thinking about building my own console for my cj5, I am looking for something that I can mount my 4 gauges in, and mount my head unit in. I did not see anything on that market that looks nice and fits my needs so I decided I am going to build one. I am going to use mdf board, then fiberglass it for strength. The armrest I was planning on reusing from my current console.

I was going to build a custom console. Then I bought a tuffy for $25 on Craigslist.

No, not mine but I did like the workmanship..

Here is another one but I don't like it as much.

It does hold the gauges and radio.

I'm not sure about putting gauges on a center console like a tuffy. To hard to look down and see.

That's kinda neat.

He does want to run Gauges on the console.

Those are bio hazard symbols. I do believe they are the speaker holes. According to their website, you can have just about anything put there as the speaker grill.
