Whistle noise from engine?

Well i was driving home and my temp went up and i pulled over and thought i saw fluid coming from the water pump shaft. I could wiggle it a lot and it seemed to make it worse when i did. So i get a new pump gasket and clean the surface really really good use some grey RTV finger tighten it to let it set. then torque to specks about 45min later, let it sit over night before filling back up with 50/50.

I start it up let it warm up and i hear a whistle or almost sound like an electronic warning noise. Then after a while i see coolant leaking from the general area of my water pump

Any ideas what may cause this noise and if i could have cracked a block or something during the minimal time my temp went up ? and not far at all, i saw steam well before my temp gauge even moved.

May have to start the engine swap sooner that i had anticipated.

I would have to say that it is time for a new Water pump the bearing has gone and there is usually a weep hole and that is the first indication the pump is going bad the whistle you are hearing is probably the bearing howling.
