Where to find door strap bracket (on tub)

Hi. I recently bought some hard half doors for my 1982 CJ7... Seems I am missing the "Z" shaped bracket that goes inside the tub on the lower door hinge. It's the bracket that the pin bolts to in order to hold the door catch strap (if that makes any sense).

Where can I find these? No "u-pull" junkyards around here have any Jeeps older than early 2000's. Any ideas? Can't seem to find any new. I saw a thread where someone manufactured some from angle iron, but I suck at welding...

Nope.... Got the door mounts. I need the other end that bolts to the tub on the back side of the hinge plate. The "strap pin" is readily available, too. http://www.quadratec.com/products/13029_400.htm

But not the bracket the pins bolt to.

In order to help future lurkers... If you're good at fabrication, I found this link as well: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/wh...ml#post5669583

And I stole this pic from 243:

Pretty good looking...

So, in order to bring a resolution to this in case anyone ever reads it...I ended up getting a set off of ebay. The next best option would be to fab your own. Good luck!

Perhaps, Home Depot or Lowes. They sell a cleat for tying off rope. They are about the double sided so you could cut one end off.

Were they orange by chance in the pics? If so, I was bidding on them too! Oh well, off to find another set.

Not talking about the pins. See the photos.

Is that how you attach them? I had no idea. I ordered the same strap kit linked above. When it arrived, I could not figure out how to attach them, so I just drilled a couple holes:

I kinda like my solution better. Looking at the strap brackets above... they look like they could give someone a nasty cut if you hit a serious pot hole!
