Where do you guys Buy you Tie Rod ends?

I am looking to replace all my tie rod ends, etc. Where do you guys buy your stuff?

If I get them from Autozone then its like $130 and they are all duralast with a Lifetime warranty(I am not sure about duralast but the warranty would be nice to have) I have purchased duralast starters etc and when one wore out it was very easy to return.

Or I could buy them from quadratec for like 70 plus shipping....I dont think they would be warrantied.

Where do you guys buy your tie rod ends? and other steering components.

Thanks

Brian

This would be very difficult I am very anti-michael waltrip it would pain me to buy parts from the company he advertises!

LOL all that aside. What kind of warranty do they have? The site didn't say anything about that.

Also it looks as though they come with rubber bushings. Do you guys replace them with poly bushings?

Found some interesting stuff out.

THe parts I need cost:

Quadratec - 62.97

Autozone - 113.96

Napa - 218.46

Autozone and Napa weren't too surprising but I was surprised by Quadratec. Do they sell junk parts? That would be my guess for being so inexpensive.

No, not crap. They are just like OEM, not any better and not any worse. I have them on my CJ and they at least come with grease fittings.

So the autozone ones would probably be at least as good as the omix ada stuff then right?

Morris 4x4 has them dirt cheap. Made by Crown if I remember correctly. Just like OEM. http://www.jeep4x4center.com/jeep-st...-scrambler.htm

Yeah, I bought a full set for my CJ. As well as a new drag link. They are OEM spec. Now I haven't gotten my CJ on the road since I've replaced them so I cant comment on durability, but I would imagine they would last as well as OEM. Also have zerk fittings on them for lube.

Moog!!! If you want quality, they are hard to beat and last I checked, not Chinese. My local O'Reilly's carries them and I know Summit also stocks them. They will not likely be the cheapest but I think you get what you pay for.

I just received my tie rods and tubes from Morris 4x4 yesterday. I order them on Sunday…so it only took 3 days to get to my door. I ordered all four tie rods and both tubes and with shipping the total was about $190.00. Quality looks okay….hard to tell by looking though. They are as big as stock and they do have grease fittings.

The $190.00 also included all four ball joints

Re the Quadratec ends; I ordered a 2nd/3rd gear syncronizer from them because it was like $45 cheaper than other places I looked. It ended up on backorder for 3 and 1/2 weeks before I cancelled and ordered from another source, who had it in stock and shipped it out same day. Just a thought before you order them; make sure they have them in stock!
