I'd love to find a set of simple steel rims. I have one (original to the Jeep) for my spare and I'd like four more to do a more narrow tire. I'd like to remove the fender flares. Always liked that narrow look better.

I mean actually you can run any wheel, you may have to get spacers for a different lug pattern, or change your hubs, but with the spacers you don't want to much, just enough to put different wheels on, and then take in consideration Back Spacing. If you run 5x4.5 wheel pattern on your ride and you like the way it looks all the way around, you can still run any size wheel with the correct back spacing and the correct spacers to achieve the same look as you have now, only with new shinny wheels.

I went with more of a modern look on my cj. I didn't really like it so I am going back to a more traditional look. I restored my old steelies and got a more aggressive tire. I also think the tires are just as important in the look as well.

I purchased these over 20 years ago, because I like being a little different. Back then, black rims weren't in vogue, like they are now.

I've never seen another vehicle with them, much less a CJ.

A lot of guys have asked me who makes them and where they can get a set. Unfortunately, I honestly can't remember....
