Probably about 4k here in the west. 4 poppers aren't too popular on the canyon roads here.

i gave 2500 for my 1984 a few years ago, it also has the 4 banger engine. 4 speed trans
mine also came with a hardtop

the 4 banger engine hurts the value for resale, but for me it does just fine.
will go as fast down the road as you should drive an old jeep

what are they asking for the jeep,
at 135K miles the little engine was shot on mine, i just got a replacement long block and weber carb and it runs pretty good,

just look the frame over good, rust is the killer of these old jeeps.

I'll agree but to the lower side due to the 4 banger.

Great looking CJ by the way, I'd love to have it but it'd have a V8 in it by the end of the week.

From watching CL over the last year, I'd expect to see it start at the 6-8k mark with a mile long list of details about new parts and work done and stop showing up there when it hit the 4k area.

3-4k here. I've seen decent CJ7's go for 3-5k with a 258 or V8's.

qunz,

i just knew the old jeep had a hard top. sometime later i figured out it was from an earlier model, but back in the day, the tops would interchange from year to year.

even if the top is off an older model jeep, in winter its nice to have a good fitting hardtop with hard doors and roll up windows.

the top just drops right on and fits like a glove. doors open and close fine and windows roll up good,

so for me, that is good enough.

however, last year i tried to pull a young lady out of a big ditch, but on the ice and snow the little jeep would not get traction.

did not have the hardtop on, so as i took her home, she just sit up there riding in the wind and snow with a big smile on her face,

most girls do not know if you have a big high hp motor, all they like is to ride in the open air with their hair blowing in the wind.

Maybe $4500, but it needs to be rust free. The deal killer is the 4.

It's my jeep, just wondering if I was in the ball park. I paid 3700 three years ago.
