whats the dumbest reason you failed your vehicle inspection?

defroster not blowing "enough" air across windshield.

went back the next day and asked the tech to show us the rule that stated how much CFM of air was required to blow across the windshield and how he measured it.

he changed his mind and gave us a pass sticker.

My window crank didn't have a screw to hold it on. I told them that I had of known I need that I would have left the doors at home.

yeah my rig is staying tagged in OK for one more year until I qualify in texas for the age exemption and dont have to mess with a lot of inspection criteria I wouldnt pass otherwise... I was told that despite my vehicle being able to pass emissions with flying colors, it would fail because i dont currently have an oxy-cat on it. Stupid Texas...

As far as emissions testing here in Denver, I pass visual and dino but my gas cap failed. So I had to run to autozone and get a new one, but they can't save your test so had to do the dino again and then they can test the cap after the dino is done. Passed both times very well for a 258 with 180000 on the clock but darn gas cap cost me a couple of hrs at the testing station. We don't have a safety inspection any more just emission testing here.

Being able to see when it rains or snows is not that important I guess.

Leaky gas cap.... Bought a lockable one and would not fit on their test equipment so they passed me.
