What's an '83, 6cyl worth?

I'm trying to figure out what to offer for an '83, manual trans that has been sitting in a friends basement for years. His new divorce is forcing a sale. All I know is that there is not much rust, it has a 3" lift with small tires and generally looks pretty good. It had a soft top and I don't know if the top or the frame is there. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

It is best to try to find what your neighbors are selling them for. What cjs sell for in Michigan is not what they will sell for in Ia, Fl, Nv, Wo, or Cali, prices vary all over the lower 48 and remember "a car is only worth what some one is willing to pay for it" according to the bank and insurance companies. What ever you to agree too, DON'T TELL ANY ONE! it could come back to bite you.

Most people don't see the light till they feel the heat.

Thanks Hoss. That price sounds about right for this one. I doubt I will be able to get any pictures before his x-wife gets rid of it.

Wouldn't that make it a garage?
