It's not in the Jeep at the moment. I had an adapter made in the machine shop at work, but I still need to cut off the shifter of my T-18 and rethread that section. I had the cyclic in the Jeep years ago when I still had the T-5 in there.

Here is the bird it came out of.

Beat it to fit, paint it to match!

I've had this Huey Cyclic Grip for 25 years and have always planned on putting it in my jeep and finally got it done. The transfer case is a 20mm case.

My stock shift knob was chewed up and faded. I tried to remove it with vice grips and sheared the top of the shifter off, threads and all.

Just about that time, my 8 yr old asked me to have a catch with him. He tossed me the baseball, and I got inspiration.

Drilled a hole with a 3/8 speed bore, added dab of gorilla glue, and bingo...whenever I shift, I throw a two-seamed fastball.

A billet brass Schlitz beer tap w/ plastic end caps. Been in the Jeep for about 30 years now. I can't bear to change it, it's part of the Jeep now.

Man that's some nasty beer lol my dad used work for them in the 60 and 70's . My dad had a bunch of signs and glasses when he died. I was oversea and by the time I got home they was all gone. Lot of money.

I'll agree with the nasty part, but I had gotten a bunch of beer paraphernalia when I was 16 or 17 from a buddy who worked at a distributor. Most of it was Schlitz stuff. But that shifter was stout and felt good in the grip, so it's had a home for 30+ years in my Jeep.
But I will say I used to drink their Red Bull in my college years. A six pak of pounders gotcha happy. It had one of the highest alcohol contents allowed in any USA beer.

Yes, see my build thread, roughly the low 20's pages for making it, then towards the end for the finished cage.
