What gears should I go with???

Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a '85 CJ7 with 6 cyl, and I was wondering if anyone know what my gear ratio is, or how do I go about finding out. I'm going to get a BDS lift, so I can fit 33's underneath. This will be my daily drive on the highway, so I'll need some speed too. What gear ratio would you guys recommond? Also, will YJ half doors fit on a CJ7?

should be numbers on the tag on the rear with the teeth count or jack it up mark the drive shaft and the tire turn the drive shaft 1 turn and count how much the tire turns it will give you a close gear range as far as gearing get gears the will keep you in the stock range with the 33 tires

good rule of thumb is tire height in inches times .12
33 inch tires x .12 = 3.96
