This thread was floating around in the TJ forum when I was down there......so I'm stealing it.....
What did you do to your CJ today?
What did you do to your CJ today?
He's just a buddy that is doing the final welding for me. I'm just an amateur with a stick welder, he's an experienced welder with the ability to weld it correctly.Nice work, what a nice job bending, fitting and welding.
Not my businesses but there are not that many businesses out there and not that many good people out there willing, that can bend tube and weld it to fit that close, even after several attempts to fit.
Who is that guy?
Thanks RN
Looks good. Now you can do more stuff with your Jeep!
The B pillers fall directly on to a body mount. There are 1/2" nuts welded inside the B pillers foot plates. The body mount bolt will come up through into them.Looks good. Now you can do more stuff with your Jeep!
Pretty unique the "B.2" pillar attachment, the short plates behind the B pillar.
Your gonna like it!!!
Oh boy, fun! Harbor freight to the rescue!! Cheap and cheerful AND gets the job done. Do you think the cold/freeze does it?The B pillers fall directly on to a body mount. There are 1/2" nuts welded inside the B pillers foot plates. The body mount bolt will come up through into them.
I wanted something rearward on the B as it does lean back at a pretty good angle, that's what the second one on the B is for.
Overkill is just enough......
Was going to pick it up today, but found my basement flooded. 2' of snow melting in 24 hours had my basement drains flowing into the house instead of out. Ugh....... Thank God I had a Harbor Freight nearby. Grabbed a pump, and pumped about 1500 gallons of crystal clear water out of my sewer pipe. Must have a break in the line and the saturated ground was seeping in. Need to get a camera in there and see exactly whats going on. This is the third time in 15 years I have lived there.
Ya, lucky for sure. Our house is old as well with a basement. Last bad El nino back in the late 90's, we had a flood that was just plain nasty. We live in an old dairy farm home and a "fresh chit" settling pond was next door to us about 300' away. Gophers managed to make a "perfect trail" from there to our house and it found a crack in our basement, let me say our water was not "clear" LOLIt's an old house, with old terracotta sewer line. City sewage. Pipe leaves the house at about 6' deep, and hits the main line at the alley about 12' deep.
Only thing I can think of is a break in the line that doesn't cause any issues under normal dry conditions. When the ground gets saturated enough, the ground water comes into the line faster than it can leave.
It's weird. I pumped for an hour of crystal clear water from my sewer line in the basement.
Hopefully getting it scoped will tell me for sure what is going on. Luckily I came home when I did. Nothing of any value got ruined.
24 bolt hummer wheels even! Did you go with the plastic bead lock or the shaved down run-flat?Captainak said:Beast Mode! It's happening! JEEP ON! OllllllO
24 bolts I didn't think you can shave down the rubber run flat?Dadamsnv said:24 bolt hummer wheels even! Did you go with the plastic bead lock or the shaved down run-flat?

Maybe you can sleeve it? Saw it on This Old House. They ran a sleeve down a bad pipe with a metal bullet in the front. It's an old house, with old terracotta sewer line. City sewage. Pipe leaves the house at about 6' deep, and hits the main line at the alley about 12' deep.

Water seeks its own level. Just maybe with the amount of thaw and tidal conditions you may have suffered from the rising of the water table and it will be gone in a few days. The B pillers fall directly on to a body mount.
