Wheeled it. Had a sputtering issue. Thought it was fuel pump. Wasnt. Made it down mountain decided to top off gas and my 20 gallon tank took this much

Guess them hills and no gas and a bad gauge can cause issues!

Didn't work on mine at all yesterday but I got my stepdad's 75 running finally. Fresh 304 w/holley 4 barrel was kind of tough to get started. Way too much carb for the motor but he's running open headers right now because he hasn't finished his exhaust yet. REALLY loud but sounded amazing

Went down to our mechanic Frank and found a cracked vacuum hose on my idler, quick fix and he tuned the carb back up for me. So glad I got that issue resolved, it died at a stop sign while I was heading there. Anyway, back to prepping for a Painless Wiring harness.

5 wheels that will get some powder coat to match the rock sliders and the 4 spacers will put the wheels back where they were.

Finished buttoning it up from the intake Re-reinstall (above).

PS Pump, VC, Plugs.

Fired it up and dead cylinder is back to life!

Now to tune it.....

Got mystified by the duct tape around the wiring splices, then found out it was not uncommon on early 80s Jeeps (need to find out what wiring stays and what goes after a nutter).
Installed a new valve cover gasket and repaired (hope it holds) valve cover.
Got my new Weber 38 prepped and bolted down.

I was able to remove all the wiring except for the wires to the ignition box and distributor I'm going to put in my own temp and oil gage cause u loose those but my comp is totally out of the loop now and no more melted wires just really start checking good I got mine with the nutter done already I traced all the wires from the PCM to where they went only three were still connected

I did that once, 19.7 gallons or so, just before I started keeping track of mileage

$3.60/gal seems pretty steep, I just paid $3.30 last night to fill up. Was that in a remote area?
