I did. Now I know. Like I said though, nothing broken. Just needs to be reassembled. I'm towing it to the shop tomorrow. Do need to remove both driveshafts?

Diagonosed a burnt valve on #6 cylinder, Pulled the head and verified the above. I would post pictures but having a problem getting them sized to upload. I will post the pics when I get it figured out.

if you are flat towing it, I would. But it all depends on distance and speed. Remember without the engine spinning the gear train it is not getting lubed correctly.
Technically the mechanic that will be resetting up the band does not need to drive it. the adjustment for them in done by torquing the adjuster bolt to a specific inch lb setting then backing it off X number of turns then locking it. With that being said since he will have to fully go into the trans to make sure the band is set up right. he will most likely want to test drive it after. I would.

I'll be flat towing it, less than 5 miles though. I'm going to disconnect the front and rear drive shafts and put them in the back. I'll put the transfer case and transmission in N and I think I should be fine. I've got the part that needs to go back in. After that they can hook up the drive shaft and test drive it all they want.

Started mine and drove it around the neighborhood, about 10 miles or so.

Swapped the battery to the Cherokee and did the same.

Put the slave cylinder back in and drove it around town to check clutch out. Got back home and looked up the info on the firewall tag.

Your 7 fits right in! Looks like a fun day.

I love the 5.0, had one in a Thunderbird (92) and it could get up and go plus get 30mpg on the open road.

Did the strangest thing. I put Jeep parts INTO boxes for somebody to take away... It went slow because out of habit I kept cutting the boxes open and trying to install the parts on to the Jeep.

Waiting for my new radiator to arrive. Picked up a 3 core with trans cooler from Advance Auto for $150. With two new hoses, it put the price over $200 and allowed me to use a $50 coupon.
The closest the blade is is 3/4". It just flexed the grill so bad it tore it up. Never had a problem before.

While doing my regular work, I managed to get my D44 cover from BTF welded up. I bead blasted it and painted it red later. I ground off the BTF tab and put on a Power Ranger Samurai emblem I drew up and cut. i'll post up some pics of it after the emblem is painted up and the cover is installed.
