Nice battery strap idea, how does the other end of it attach? To the firewall or the other side of the battery tray? thx

I picked up a hard top and hard doors for $400. I had to drive 75 minutes to get them but I am generally pleased as the going price in my area is about $400 for the top and another $400 for the doors. Doors are the old style with "L" handles and I am wondering if the top is factory or not. I was thinking that if it was it would have a rear dome light that is not there. Its going to take some work to get everything lined up just so and the doors close but are not seated tightly against the frame, they have about 1/4" of in/out wiggle room. I'm also not sure exactly how I feel about the sun roof but we'll tackle any issues as they come up. Like everything else on this darn Jeep.

At the top of the pic, the flat bar goes up about 1" and is bolted to the firewall with a 1/4x20 bolt and nylock. Sure, it takes a few more min to unhook, but how often do you really need to pull the battery?

I went wheeling up in the Sierras over the weekend with 13 other Jeeps and one older Bronco. Had a blast!

Installed my radiator and fuel filler... then promptly broke the knob off my tranny shifter.

If you did not also get the striker plates for those style doors, that would account for why they dont close up tight.
