Picked up another axle to replace mine, thanks to forum member Hasselback. He hooked me up with a matching ratio front axle.
It's great to have forum members willing to help out a fellow Jeeper.

Now the work begins. I had planned on giving mine a good going over, so I have all new bearings, races, seals and u-joints sitting on the shelf. I'll be using everything from the knuckle out off of mine, dropping in my locker, and fabbing up everything for the SOA.
Should be a busy weekend working instead of wheeling.

Fuzz401, what is that blue thing above the Alt, on the Passenger side? Crank trigger, monster coil? When/where ya running next. My boys want to see you in action in the worst way!
And skizriz, what locker are you going with? I know you had Q-trac problems, would something w/a "little" slip help....like an LSD? Or is the T-case good for another 30 years now?

My guess it's a motor to drive the water pump.

The blue thing is a coil, I think the pulleys looking like they're mounted to it is just an optical illusion.

I scored these 1st run V-covers. The covers & A-flter cover I did in Duplicolor black chrome. Came out...meh. They need more clear in the kit.. The only other chrome will be the d-stick & T-stat housing. I think I'm gonna p-coat black & buff ridge tops til it's chrome like. Ideas on colors/process for the V-covers? Bueller?
And it's a totally stock 130HP 290ci from an old rambler w/a 2 speed powerglide. Had to use a smaller cam & used rings Wanna race?
BTW, I totally inverted the pics wrong, start@ the bottom! BTW, I totally inverted the pics wrong, start@ the bottom!

Ive been running a lock right for awhile now. The t-case has been doing Fine since putting in the Morse chain. Still debating a Dana 18 swap though.

never ends

Well yesterday I decided to clean up the engine compartment in my 76 CJ, after washing everything it would not start, ok no biggie, start checking the usual suspects and everything is clean and dry ???
Then I open the wireloom and see that the the cable that runs from the bulkhead to the dizzy basically has no insulation left on it, in some places completely melted away actually looks like it has been like that for a while, I guess during the cleaning a little water got inside the wireloom and caused it to short out which caused the no start situation. Happy that I found it before something worse happened.
So I fixed the wiring and finished cleaning and start the engine, runs good but I now notice that the exhaust is cracked right before it goes into the manifold don't have a welder so I had to pay a guy 20 bucks to weld it back together. Now I notice that the cover on the master cylinder does not seal well and is leaking brake fluid, turns out the metalcover was warped, spend 20 minutes getting it straight enough to allow the gasket to seal again. When you drive a CJ everyday is an adventure
