Disconnected the return line to the tank.Started in and partially filled some gas cans I have. Now i need to lower/drop the skidplate tank. Been messing with this for a little over a month, need this done.

not just what I did today what I have done over the last couple of weeks to it.

1 installed high beam indicator light today
2 dimmer floor switch
3 installed the horn yesterday
4 replaced old brake light switch
5 installed seat belts
6 installed door straps
7 took my window frame in to get sandblasted and painted it the day I picked it up.
8 was going to install my windshield but UPS broke it during delivery.

Wheeled it.

Bent the drag link trying to climb a ledge with the wheels turned into it. It bent right at the adjustment coupler.
Doing some homework now. I plan on getting some weld in inserts, some tubing, and new ends and building my own (tie rod also). Hopefully eliminating the weak spot at the coupler and going to threaded ends, along with thicker tubing, will eliminate any future problems.

New fuel level sending unit. The old float sunk. I was suspicious when the "full" reading kept getting lower and lower.

I've fitted European YJ taillights with CJ connector ...

Better than oem CJ awful european tractor taillights

I like those. I wonder if they would work even though I don't have the side marker lights on the rear on my cj.

Line ex. weber carburetor. factory tach. factory clock ,oem replacement speedomter cluster, and oil pressure gauge, factory volt gauge.

Probably did some of it yesterday while wheeling it, probably alot due to past neglect.
Heard and felt it while on the way to work this morning. By lunch time what seemed like most of the oil puked out of the driver's side axle tube. Pulled the driveshaft on my lunch break, and drove it home.
Ring gear shot, pinion bearings shot, carrier bearings shot.......

OK, not today but finally Done with 2 month project.

After breaking one of my rear axle I felt it was time for a MAJOR upgrade to my drivetrain.

This is what I did,

Kept the AMC 20:
Installed 1 pc G2 Chrome Alloy Axles
New Bearing and Seal kit
New G2 4:10 Gears
Upgraded ARB Locker
New Brakes (including Wheel Cylinders)
New Diff Cover.

Kept the DANA 30:
New Bearing and Seal kit
New G2 4:10 Gears
Upgraded ARB Locker
New Brakes
Rebuilt Mile Marker Locking Hubs

Replaced all Tie Rods
Installed ARB Air Compressor

Cried over Credit Card Statement.

European CJ doesn't have the side markers...
