If it's a hose and tightening up and/or replacing the hose doesn't stop it, then permatex high tack works wonders. Makes harder to get the hose off, I think it would be easier if it was heated up a little but that's taking it off. It does stop leaks. If it works for me it can work for you.

#agear...I replaced the bottom radiator hose thinking that was the source. Retightened the clamps and thought i may have fixed it. It appears to be coming from the thermostat or water pump.

I just replaced my thermostat yesterday. What I did was put a moderate coat of grey permatex waterpump and thermostat housing rtv on both sides of the gasket. Tighten it down just until the rtv starts to squish out then come back out 3 hours later and snug 'em tight. You don't have to get 'em godzilla tight just when you go to snug em up tighten them until they stop then give it just a short turn after that. You might already know that and have you're own way of doing it. But it worked for me. These days I'm getting more and more leak free seals compared to my younger days when I never made a leak free seal. Let me know if you need any help. As far as cleaning it goes get all the rtv and gasket off with a razor blade and sand paper on engine block and thermostat housing then wipe with brake cleaner and paper towel. If you spray the rag with brake cleaner and wipe the surface on the block or thermostat housing and no residue comes off on the towel then you know you got it clean and it needs to be supposedly

Thanks for the information. With my luck I will replace the thermostat and then the water pump will start leaking!

Just your general holiday sillyness. Someone said it wouldn't go through the pond. I said it would but I didn't want to cover the inside in mud. My manhood was questioned, so it got dunked in the pond. It did come out the other side though.

Got bored this morning and decided to try to write down all the different parts on my jeep that aren't original to it. I know there's got to be more here or there that I'm forgetting but here's what I got so far!

looks cool-here in the rocky heavy treed west, the tank and tools would not last too long before torn off. i used to always carry a pour spout but once i picked one of those super-siphons the tank never leaves the rear carrier, just open top and gravity siphon fuel directly into the filler nozzle. One less step. We see guys on the trail all the time fumbling to remove their can, mess with the leaky spout and once we suggest the siphon idea, it's like one of those DOH moments.

in your configuration from top of can to filler nozzle is what? two feet?

good luck and have fun this w/e.
