fuel pump access panel

after 2x having to drop tank (33 gal Aero monster) to service the in tank pump, "F" that. Made an access hatch. Measured while tank was out, plasma torch then a piece of diamond plate with counter sunk holes/self tapper screws. Then seal up with silicone.

virgin tub

we got a hole!

plate detail-- best part is I used material on hand

finished product and new tank lifted into position

ready to screw down.

out of curosity cut open old tank and no wonder the pump failed. look at all the krap inside. the interior lining failed and = nasty pump killing debris.
filter was completely clogged too.
edit: to be fair some of that is plasma blow-thru, but before i cut it open there was a LOT of debris.

Look it's a 4.6!

That's what I'm talking about! Screwing with the fuel gauge has me thinking about doing this too

I took the 10k winch off the top of the roll cage. Then I re-enforced my front bumper at the outer ends and mounted two 1500 pound ATV winches @ the very ends of the bumpers. This will allow more lateral movement when needed. If they have enough power to budge anything bigger than a lawn tractor. Nice compact units, needed since I have a tilt nose. I can't tilt it back 'cuz the tires are too big and in the way. If these aren't strong enough, maybe I'll tilt the nose to the side. Or Maybe put a "piano hinge" down the center like cars of the '20s.
Thoughts, ideas? Anybody else use dual ATV winches?

I've also learned that sometimes... when people don't agree with you .... its best to hold them down and kidney punch them till they agree with you

I did the exact same thing with my CJ7.

Beat it to fit, paint it to match!

Great minds and all! I might do 2 at the rear corners if this works out. BTW, I bought 8 snatch blocks today. The Mrs said she'd sew me an apron & board so I'll have all 4 controllers set up like a hot dog vendors' box at a ball game!

Replaced 2 rubber bumpers inside engine compartment where rear of hood meets section next to windshield.

Found out that aftermarket highlighters only work when headlights are n low beam.

Replaced 4 rubber bumpers where hood sits on grill.
