Upgraded the alternator to 140amp cs144 and installed new header collector gaskets. (I was so used to the exhaust leak it sounds funny now).

in tank fuel pump died. yank out the areo 33 gal monster and re do entire fuel delivery system...again.

Argh...

new pump on left with much larger pick up sock. old failed pump on right with small screen. Amazing the entire heart if the system is a small round motor that fits in your hand.

Why can't you put on on the outside or will that system not work like that?

in tank pump runs a lot better a number of reasons. Have the MOPAR external in line pump that is only for back up. Going to a spin on style fuel filter, all AN fittings, air bag rear suspension, and lots more... watch reno4x4 for the coming threads... But for now hold up is new tank... everytime the brown santa UPS truck drives i get excited...

Replaced the acid destroyed battery tray, the cracked rear side marker signal assemblies and the fan control knob.
