Wired up trailer hitch plug. Exact opposite of the jeeps. Left signal on CJ=Right on trailer! Not that anybody uses those silly old fashioned things. Fixed it and actually spliced it better this time.

Nothing. Drove it to work and back and parked it.

I did order some shackles from Besrk for it though. Had a little tire rub last time out wheeling, so I figure another 1/2" of lift will do some good. I needed new shackles anyhow..

Put my refurbished fresh air box back in the Jeep. Shortened the flex hose to the defroster duct to take the bends out of it. Now I can get fresh air from the outside and the defroster works better.

Unfortunately the drain hose I got off e-bay was for a 77-later CJ and didn't fit. Ordered what appears to be the proper one from carid.com.

Self clearancing gears...

I was putting off swapping in the 4.10 gears, now I have to do it.

That's a great way of looking at it. Guess she just wants some more love!

This week I removed my 21 gal poly tank and replaced with stock new 15 gal and sender(tank was only $70!!), then removed all seats and the console, followed by removing my carpet and padding, filled in rust holes with JB Weld, added Herculiner to the floor/sides (Will probably never do that again, too much work! Ugh...), Front brake job, Removed electric fan replaced with stock 5 blade clutch fan. Later this week: Seat covers, radiator hoses, bypass hose, balanced sleeve 160 degree thermostat, and trying to grind and pry my old fan shroud to fit my Novak radiator setup for hopefully better cooling.

Reasons for some of this?
Fuel tank>21 gal poly hung too low and was finding every rock on the trails. Like a big wet diaper hanging off a kid.
Herculiner>Carpet stays wet too long after river crossings (and as it turned out, caused rust holes to form, yay!)
Stock manual fan with clutch>Overheating at freeway speeds with electric, too much restriction.

Did a little more block sanding and applied another skim coat of filler to smooth it out a little before paint. Feel like a lepar with filler all over my hands today...I don't know why I can't remember to wear gloves...

Painted up the shackles I got from Besrk. Definitely a lot beefier than what I have on it now.

Got sidetracked when a co-worker called asking for help. He needed a post made for an old signal light he has been restoring for his man-cave.
An old rim I had hanging on the wall of my garage for years, some exhaust tubing, a little welding, and a few nuts and bolts, and it's ready for a power cord and paint. I wish we could have lit it up for the picture though.

I like that its entirely out of automobile parts. Pretty sweet.

He's been working on it for a few months. It started out as a total wreck. Rusted, missing parts, broken pieces. He was bouncing up and down like a little kid on Christmas morning when he finally saw it free standing for the first time.

Skiz, are those 6" centers from Besrk? I added way to much weight to mine and need a little "pick me up".
