Opened my sparkplug gap up to about 42 from 35. D.U.I claims I can go as high as 50. What if anything might I gain on going to 50? Engine is basically stock with the D.U.I and a Weber 2 into 1 carb. The engine is running great, btw.
I would keep the gap around 0.040/45.

1980 CJ5 trail Jeep.

Emailed a guy about a CJ5 he has for sale, arranged to look at it on Saturday, reserved a car hauler trailer for the day. This could be a much better starting point than the Jeep I've had for almost a month. My Green Jeep has a rotted frame, the prospect is supposed to be better. Here's to hoping!
Ordered a "League of Sportsmen" license plate which will be personalized with CJ577. 77CJ5 was already taken. The League of Sportsmen plate is white with brown lettering and has the head of a big ole Buck on it. I'm not a deer hunter and would've prefered a big ole Bass but there isn't one of those offered in Kentucky.
I also put a zip tie on the foot of my Hi-Lift Jack. It was making a rather loud noise whenever I would hit a bump in the road. Problem solved!
Went to change gasket on thermostat housing as there seemed to be a small leak...... Went to tighten bolts only the find that one is completely stripped on the intake.....FML!!!!........ Suggestions.......
