That's a clever idea! I would run a leash though in case it got knocked off.

Cheers!

I want to loose this plate so I can get the newer style that looks better. But if I loose it ill do that. It is actually pretty hard to get off. I have to spread the clip to get it to come off. The plate will bend before it separates from the roller.

Finished installing Currie spring plates and greasable shackle bolts in the rear. Got the bolts up front to do and trim the u-bolts once I get some mileage and re-torque.

glad you'll properly trim the excess threads. I see so many clueless rigs running around town that despite all the bling suspension have 4-5" of u-bolt thread hanging down and are usually hopelessly bent. That makes a good trail plow, LOL.

Look it's a 4.6!

It wont 'fall' or 'blow' off believe me, the only way to loose a plate mounted this way is to leave it laying somewhere when you use your winch, they hold very tight!!

Nice thing about classic vehicle plates here, I'm only required to run a plate on the rear.
I only need a plate on the rear and mines a 94
