Just finished my console and used my old Standard C5900DA tri-band. It fired right up. The last time it was used was in '99. Still had all the memory stored.

both mounted to body. on left is a 5/8 dual band for the yaesu 8800 and on the right is a 5/8 wave 2m dedicated for APRS using a yaesu 1900.

from these locations, about 30 minutes from the house we regularly work simplex 175, 200 miles one way. Thats omnidirectional. Sometimes we bring an Elk LP or a small 2m yagi antenna and hoist it up on a PVC mast for even further range. 2m SSB is fun also.

my front bump stops sure were getting a work out. if that continues, may go to jounce cans.

Haha thanks man. I was shaking I was so excited (or maybe that was lack of food and sleep?) but it was a great feeling. My original goal was thanksgiving. But that never happened. It's alright though. I have a wider angle from my video camera I'm gonna upload and you can see the entire jeep.
And this phone doesn't do the sound much justice. I ran it and was revving it up and I yelled at my dad and I couldn't even hear myself. Closed shop and open headers=deaf at 17. Haha gotta lot of tuning now.

Reassembled the passenger side hub and spindle. I think I'll be powder coating the calipers soon.

Painted the rear frame of my wife's 777 with POR15 and truck bed liner.

Then did some road side assistance. My dad lost both beads on a tire today and was stranded. I headed over and used on board air kit to take wheel off. Had to plug it and then use starter fluid and a flame to set both beads back on.

Busy day today.

Hooked up KC lights and did the Nutter bypass which totally solved my rough idle.

I'm in the process of ordering a DUI system. 4 mechanics have so far been unable to figure out my problem. The new weber carb made it start better but it still won't hardly take gas until you get it it going and under rev. The DUI may or may not solve this. But I will at least rule out the ignition system. I'm at the end of my rope!

Find a second hand diz and see if it works. It fixed mine but it sounded like a different problem. Mine would cold start but crap out when warm then not start again. Pick up coil.

Thats nice man. You now we'd get shot on sight if we had our tyres (tires) that far out or even an inch out. Is it just the way I see the vid or does that thing ride real smooth?
I'm loving your S&S Jeep logo, maybe you coulda put your camera just a teeny bit further back so you could see the whole thing.
Good stuff.
