Read some articles on axles and have determined that since the PO installed and upgraded the Dana 30 and Model 20 axles (Lockers and the single axle conversion) that I'm going to buy the Blu Torch Fab Differential and truss set up...... But I'll still keep my eye out for the military 14 bolt dana 60's on bargain ...... Been looking for a while for the limited slip front and locked back....... Just haven't found the right price and distance

If your going to go the 14bolt route I'd look into a balistic fab shave kit. Very easy and takes 2.5 in off the bottom of the 14bolt. Unless your running 39.5's or higher for tires it really limits clearance running the 14bolt. Stick with the Military CUCV idea though. Thats one of the best starting points plus my build thread goes through the entire build process of those axles. I'll eventualy shave mine when I link the rear.

replaced the trashed OEM front bump stops. yikes, they were shot. Then for a test run to 8000' to check on a ham repeater site.

Boy, that high you could talk simplex to a large audience

Is that a tri-band antenna? can't see if it is tub mounted or on top of the cage. What radio(s) are you running?

Just finished my console and used my old Standard C5900DA tri-band. It fired right up. The last time it was used was in '99. Still had all the memory stored.
