Dropped the gas tank so I could get to the one bolt at the top of the rear differential that stripped. So changing the rear differential fluid has given me 4 new projects (clean/paint skid plate, change all hoses leading from gas tank, change out bolts for gas tank, clean and spray under carage where tank was). Man you got to love these jeeps.

Ordered a Besrk rear bumper and I should be picking it up next Sunday.

Powder coated a matching rim for the spare tire and a blocking plate for the stock stereo hole.

Attempted to add a grease zerk to the front hub assembly but the bit must have wobbled or something because the zerk is to short for the threads to catch.

2 for 3 today it could be worse...

Yesterday I added a receiver to my stock style tube bumper hitch combo. It has that stock 1 inch thick curved bar style cj hitch that mounts under the bumper. In the center of the bumper is a rectangular recessed area made of plate where on would mount their tags at. So I got one of those bolt on receivers, re drilled its plate for the chain holes in the factory hitch. bolted it there then welded it everywhere it met either the hitch or the bumper. Then put in my D ring reviever hitch attachment. Hooked some shackes to my 6ft tree strap wrapped it around my tire carrier. And now my tree strap is out of my tine cj5 cargo area and is pulling triple duty as my tree strap, my anchor the jeep for winching people strap, and my quick already hooked up strap. Now I just have to steal back my winch and bumper from my roomate add a couple d rings to the bumper and Ill be set to get myself and everyone else(usually them) unstuck.

no progress as im waiting for brown santa to sail across the ocean. I also cant get the front driveshaft off as the bolts are a wierd size (between 6 and 7mm and none of my imperial sockets fit either.)

Here it sits in the corner
